Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

God is described in scripture as the ‘alpha and the omega’, ‘the beginning and the end’, the ‘author and the finisher of our faith’, and the one who ‘carries out to completion what he has started in us’. God always has a NEXT STEP for you. He is working and moving in your life and you can be sure that as you listen to him, he will lead you into your future.

Be encouraged that:

  • The bible is full of promises that speak to your future.
  • The Holy Spirit is described as your helper and guide who is with you as you step into your future.
  • God is already in your future because he is not bound by time and operates outside of it.
  • God has prepared good works in advance for you to do in your future (Ephesians 2:10)
  • Your future extends beyond your time here on earth because God has prepared a place for you in heaven.

Live with vision. Listen to Gods voice. Look ahead with eyes of faith.

Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

18 Where there is no vision, the people perish.

God has a future for you!

You may not know the future, but you can be confident in the one who holds the future.

5 WAYS TO STEP INTO YOUR FUTURE WITH STRENGTH:

Proverbs 4:23-27 (NLT)

23 Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

24 Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech.

25 Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you.

26 Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path.

27 Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.

1.     GUARD YOUR HEART

"Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life."

  • Everything in your life flows from your heart
  • Your heart in this season is preparing you for the next season.
  • A health heart has healthy priorities

2.     AVOID ALL PERVERSE TALK

"Avoid all perverse talk; stay away from corrupt speech."

  • Your words frame your future. Speak words that build!
  • Your words will reap what they sow
  • Your words can speak prophetically to your future

3.     LOOK STRAIGHT AHEAD

"Look straight ahead, and fix your eyes on what lies before you."

  • Jesus is ahead of you, don’t be distracted but look to him.
  • Perspective changes things.
  • You can’t control what happens to you but you can control what you focus on.

4.     MARK OUT A STRAIGHT PATH FOR YOUR FEET

"Mark out a straight path for your feet; stay on the safe path."

  • Carve out habits that are built around your values.
  • Discipline is desire applying dedication
  • A disciple is a ‘disciplined one’

Hebrews 12:11 (NLT)

No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way.

5.     DON’T GET SIDE-TRACKED

"Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil."

  • You have a calling from God. Don’t miss it.
  • Distraction is an enemy to your destiny.
  • There is a blessing in staying the path.
